History
In 1969, the officers of California TU disbanded and formed California Trout after some disagreement over the Dos Rios Dam.  TU members in California were left with no chapters or organization.  In 1972, Chuck Voss, the Executive Director of TU (based in Denver) came to Marin County and established the North Bay Chapter.  NBTU was the first and only chapter in California for the next few years.  The next year, Mr. Voss returned to form the Trout Unlimited Council of California.
