June Outing Announcement This year’s Lake Manzanita chapter weekend couldn’t have been scripted any better as a perfect trifecta of warm weather, hatching insects and hungry trout provided the perfect outing for our participating membership. Swarms of hatching Carpenter ants and Alderflies all but guaranteed any angler fishing a size 12 black dry fly numerous hooks ups. One of our most veteran anglers, Mr Ralph Alexander, landed 12 fish on Saturday July 26th. Included in that group were a number of fish between 18 and 22 inches in length that looked like they had spent the entire spring filling up at some “Super Buffet.” Healthy, very healthy fish! Speaking of buffets, both our chapter fishermen and their accompanying relatives were treated to a “Super Buffet” for themselves as well.. Saturday evening Mike Cronin, Linda Perone, Frank and Dee Minoia , George Starn and Chuck Schultz set up a banquet fit for a king. Chicken, Tri-tip, Smoked Salmon, Baked Beans, Salad, French bread, Brownies and assorted wines were the mainstays of our outing banquet. And the fish thought they had it good!
